Sunset Lodge

Sunset Lodge is a remote, full-service fishing and outdoor resort located on Oak Island in the Northwest Angle of Lake of the Woods. Open year-round, Sunset Lodge is especially known as a fishing destination. During summer, guests can explore Lake of the Woods with boat rentals and experienced fishing guides, pursuing the area's renowned walleye and other gamefish. Winter transforms the surrounding lake into an ice-fishing destination, with heated fish houses and Bombardier transportation available to take guests onto the ice.

Part of Sunset Lodge's appeal is simply getting there. Travelers driving to the Northwest Angle generally travel through Canada before reaching Young's Bay near Angle Inlet. From there, Sunset Lodge is approximately a 10–15 minute boat ride in summer, with winter access available across the ice. Guests can also arrive by boat from the south shore of Lake of the Woods, and the resort operates as a private seaplane base.
